About Me
I am originally from Huntington Beach, California where I lived until I graduated High School. In high school I fell in love with the sport of volleyball and earned a full athletic scholarship to The George Washington University, in Washington D.C. This was a very exciting time in my life to move across the country and experience something completely new, and on top of that to get paid for doing something I loved to do! I graduated in 2012 and moved to Eugene Oregon, where my parents were now living. For a year I started coaching volleyball and had the opportunity to teach at three different levels. I coached at Churchill High School, Kennedy Middle School, and a 5th grade Club Volleyball team. I then got into the teaching program at the University of Oregon and had a fantastic experience within the program. Teaching at both Howard Elementary and Edison Elementary only proved to me even more that teaching is what I was meant to do with my life. I could not imagine doing anything else and am ecstatic to be on this journey. I feel very fortunate to be at McKenzie Elementary this year and cannot wait for the school year to begin!
